Mudturtle Night Dowlings Wednesday June 18

This Wednesday June 18 Dowlings Pub in Roselle Park will be having Mudturtle Day from 11:00 AM to close. Stop in for a pint by yourself or bring the whole family for dinner, just let them know you are a Mudturtle and 10% of your check will be donated to the club. May30 June 1

Get ready this Friday May 30 is the Mudturtle golf outing at Ashbrook Golf Course- 1210 Raritan Road Clark. Breakfast begins at 7:30 shot gun start at 9:00. Rest Saturday then Sunday June 1 is the 6th Annual Unami Park Ranger Day. For this year get your ranger shirt out and assemble at the Nip N Tuck in Long Branch at noon, see link below.

Mudturtle U12 U14 report

The U12 and U14 teams this year showed the rest of the Rugby NJ programs what the Mudturtles are all about. Starting in January, both teams came together to progress their skill sets, physicality and teamwork. After a slow start to the season our u14s came back strong in the regular season with a close win at Franklin, and dominant wins over Morris and Jersey Shore. After winning a back and forth match against Morris 30-25 in OT in the first round of the Championship, we fell to Franklin 20-10 in a heartbreaker in the final after suffering a couple of key injuries. Our U12s were dominant from the get go in the regular season going 5-0 with 4 strong wins and 1 nail biter, last second try, win over Morris at Morris in week 4. We opened the championship with a solid 30-10 win over Franklin in the opening round and closed out in the championship with our most complete performance of the season in an 40-10 win over Jersey Shore. To date our U12 have out scored opponents 320-110, well done! Next up, the U12 and U14s will be combining forces and traveling up to Syracuse for 7’s Jamboree with Syracuse, Corning, two teams from Rochester and two teams from Buffalo.
